Getting Model Connection Information

After a catalog is deployed, all of its models are available for client connections and queries. You can obtain the connection details for a deployed model in the Deployed Catalogs panel.

About this task

When you are configuring a client connection to an AtScale model, you will need the connection details such as the AtScale server host, port, and catalog name. The connection details you'll need depend on the type of client connection you're configuring (ODBC, JDBC, or XMLA).

note

Tableau is popular ODBC-compliant BI application. For such applications, AtScale generates application-specific data source descriptors. See Connecting to AtScale from Tableau by Using a Tableau Data Source (TDS) File for details on using these files to connect to and query an AtScale model.

Procedure

  1. In Design Center, open the Deployed Catalogs panel.
  2. Search for and select the catalog you want to obtain connection information for.
  3. Click the Connect tab at the top of the page.

Here, you can either copy the required connection details for the model, or download its .tds file if you're connecting to Tableau.
