AtScale contains the following new features and improvements.

New scope for security dimensions

AtScale provides a new scope option for security dimensions called Fact Only. When selected, the security constraint is applied when a query selects a measure or a calculated measure derived from the connected fact dataset. The security constraint is not applied when a dimenion-only query uses the secured fact dataset, or when a dimension-only query selects a degenerate dimension derived from the secured fact dataset.

Configure empty row handling in DAX query results

You can use the new query.language.dax.removeEmptyRows cube-level setting to control whether DAX query results remove rows where every value is empty. This enables you to control whether these empty rows appear in BI tool visualizations when using AtScale in SuperDAX MD or DAX Tabular mode.

By default, the new setting is set to false. For more information, see Query Settings and About Queries on Dimensions that are Unrelated to One or More Queried Measures.

Higher order aggregates now disabled by default

The aggregates.create.higherOrder.enabled engine setting, which controls higher order aggregates in AtScale, is now disabled by default. For more information, see Aggregate Creation Settings.
