Search the Cube Canvas

You can use the cube canvas search to quickly locate datasets, columns, dimensions, or dimension levels by name.

Procedure

1. Press the CTRL + SPACEBAR keyboard keys to open the cube canvas search bar.

2. Type the name of the object you are looking for.

   Consider the following:

   • The search pattern is case-insensitive, and shows matching names that contain the string you entered.
   • Search works for dataset names, column names, dimension names, the dimension's key level name, and calculated measures (by name and query ID).
   • Search does not apply to hierarchy names, level names other than the key, secondary attribute names, and measures.

3. Choose the result you want from the list.

   The focus of the canvas shifts to bring the selected object into view.
