Editing and Removing Row Security Objects
Editing a Row Security Object
To edit a row security object, click its context menu and select Edit. Note the following restrictions:
- You cannot change the security dimension's dataset
- Changing column assignments is limited to the two columns originally chosen, allowing you to effectively switch them.
- You can change the Lookup Rules without restriction.
- You can change the Scope setting without restriction.
Removing a Row Security Object from a Model
Removing a row security object from a model removes only the usage of the object. Its definition remains in the repository and is available for data modeling. If a row security object is not connected to a dimension or dataset, it is not enforced by the engine.
To remove a row security object from a model, click its context menu and select Delete. The row security object is removed from the Canvas, but remains available in the Repo Browser.
Removing a Row Security Object from a Project
To remove a row security object from a project, locate the object in the Repo Browser, click its context menu, and select Delete.
The system removes the definition of the row security object from the project, as well as all uses of the object within any models in the project.
