Refreshing AtScale Connections

Refreshing your connection to AtScale executes all queries again and updates the data in your pivot tables.

Refresh the connection for a specific pivot table​

To refresh the connection for a specific pivot table:

  1. Open a pivot table that contains an AtScale connection.
  2. Click the AtScale tab in the ribbon.
  3. Click Refresh Selected in the ribbon.

Refresh all connections in a workbook​

To refresh all AtScale connections in a workbook:

  1. Open a workbook that contains connections to AtScale.
  2. Click the AtScale tab in the ribbon.
  3. Click Refresh All in the ribbon.

Schedule a refresh​

You can configure your workbook connections to automatically refresh on a specific day and time. This enables you to schedule your refreshes to occur during off-hours, so your data is fully updated when you need to start working.

Note

Scheduled refreshes require your computer to be awake with the workbook open.

To schedule a refresh:

  1. Open the workbook you want to schedule a refresh for.

  2. In the ribbon, go to the AtScale tab and click Schedule Refresh. The Schedule Refresh dialog opens.

  3. Complete the following fields:

    • Refresh on: Enter the date you want the refresh to occur.
    • At: Enter the time you want the refresh to occur.
    • Repeat daily at this time: Select this option if you want your workbook to refresh daily at the specified time.
    • Keep this PC awake until the refresh runs: Select this option to keep your computer active and Excel open until the refresh completes.

  4. Click OK.

The scheduled refresh appears in the ribbon. You can click on it to edit the schedule, or disable it.
