What Does Publishing a Project Do?
When you publish a project in AtScale, all of the cubes as they are currently defined in the project become immediately available for queries. After a cube is published, it can be accessed by your business intelligence (BI) client applications.
Every time you publish a project, it saves a version of the project at the time it was published. This allows you to revert back to the last known good version of a project in case you publish something unintentionally.
Publishing a project will commence building of any user-defined aggregate tables (if they exist), although queries can still be served while aggregate tables are in the process of building. If a project does not have user-defined aggregates, then aggregate tables are not built until AtScale starts receiving queries against a published project.
